We had a lovely holiday and all went smoothly travel-wise!
We loved Boston and the Loews Hotel was great and well located- would stay there again! It was just a short stroll to Boston Common. Great places to eat in Boston and we all enjoyed the Freedom Trail and hearing about the history of the City.
The Car rental went without a hitch and the car was perfect for the journey down to Cape Cod and sight seeing around the area. Plymouth was definitely worth visiting en-route- lots of history of course.
The Queen Ann Hotel in Chatham was very traditional but comfortable. We didn't really use lounge area as it was quite small. Weather wasn't warm enough to use the pool and hot tub on Jan's balcony hadn't been prepared & ready to use. We enjoyed the breakfasts at Queen Anne's and location of the hotel was good - just on the outskirts of Chatham so just a 5 minute walk to the centre which was really nice with plenty of good shops and restaurants. We managed to visit most parts of Cape Cod and would definitely recommend a trip to Nantucket! We took the ferry from Hyannis - very easy & took about an hour. We pre booked the trip the day before on the Internet.
Phil & I travelled back via JFK and connection time was good with no delays.
A great holiday and we would definitely recommend it!
