I'm Vanessa, and I would personally like to welcome you to my website; which I hope will become a regular port of call for you.

I have worked within the travel industry for over 40 years and most of those years have been spent in High Street retail shops. I started my career as an office junior, worked my way up to branch manager before taking a couple of years out to fulfil a lifelong ambition to become an airline stewardess. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the air and was able to visit many destinations but after 2 years as cabin crew, I decided that it was time to get my feet back "Terra Firma" and so I returned to retail.

Now, I run my own travel business in partnership with Your Coop .This role gives me the time and flexibility to be able to dedicate my complete attention to finding my customers the perfect holiday without the normal distractions of a shop.

We work hard for our money and I never forget that I am dealing with other people's dreams, so it has to be right for you. It is not just about booking the holiday; it is the whole experience from the time you book to the time you land home from your holiday. As a Personal Travel Agent, I will be with you throughout the whole journey for anything you need.

After so many years in the travel industry, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, not only with destinations but with helping you choose what is right for you.

One of my most lasting memories is taking my children to Lapland. It is something I planned for over 12 months and it was a dream come true, a very magical place. I also have a love of the Far East and have visited some amazing places including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

If I am going West, then a big favourite is Sandals Resorts in The Caribbean. As a certified Sandals specialist, I have excellent knowledge of the resorts and have visited most of them. One of the most amazing experiences was "Swimming with the piggies" when I stayed at Sandals Emerald Bay in The Bahamas.

This trip should be on everyones bucket list.

I am genuinely passionate about my role in helping clients find their dream holidays; many of my customers have become my friends. They know they can rely on me and a repeat client is a wonderful compliment. As I run my own business in partnership with Your Coop, you get the added security of working with a long-standing and ethical brand who is fully ABTA and ATOL bonded for your security and peace of mind.

I am available from morning until late in to the evening, so when the high street is closed ,I am here to help you from the comfort of your own home, at a time convenient to you. Please feel free to let me know what you'd like to see advertised on my website too. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

My last holiday was

In Thailand. The first 2 nights we spent in Bangkok. Crazy, colourful Bangkok with something for everyone. The highlight for me here was the Vertigo restaurant, which is situated on the 61st floor of The Banyan Tree Hotel. We went up early at 5pm to watch the sun go down and it was the most amazing experience. The second part of our trip involved a short one hour flight down to Phuket. I was really impressed with Bangkok Airways. Full use of their executive lounge at no extra charge & even a meal on the plane on a one hour flight. From Phuket airport, we were transferred to the marina where we boarded a speedboat for a 45 minute ride to the island of Yao Noi. I will never forget the sight of the Six Senses Yao Noi resort coming into view as we turned the corner and the hotel staff waiting to greet us on the pier. I spotted a photo of this hotel 4 years ago and it has been stuck on my fridge ever since. It was most definitely worth the wait. It is 5 star luxury without having to wear the "cruise attire" that sometimes goes with 5 star hotels. In fact, they encourage bare feet. Think Robinson Crusoe luxury. The most attentive staff and beautiful surroundings imaginable. It is not every day that you get to watch a movie under the stars on the private beach or stay in your own hideaway villa with a swimming pool. I was so sad to leave the Six Senses but still our journey continued back on Phuket mainland. We stayed at the resort of Bang Tao, which is about 20 minutes away from the lively Patong area. It suited us because it was lovely and quiet with a beach that was almost empty. Thailand is certainly a beautiful country with so much to see and it is definitely a country that we will return to very soon.
