With her teak promenade and lido decks, tiered stern and wonderful Art Deco features, it’s no wonder Oriana is much-loved. And now it’s time for her to enjoy some well-deserved pampering, as she sets sail to Hamburg for a refresh from world-renowned Richmond International. (They’re famed for creating luxury hotels on six continents, including the Langham Hotel London, Sandy Lane Barbados – and not forgetting our own beautiful Britannia.) You can be sure when she returns, defining features such as her Tiffany glass ceiling and Art Deco accents will still be in pride of place. Yet, elsewhere you’ll find subtle changes including renewed cabins, suites, entertainment areas, restaurants, bars and public areas.  Looking forward to seeing (and luxuriating in) her new fabrics, soft furnishings, carpets, furniture, lighting, and colour schemes? We can’t wait to welcome you back on board.

Main Dining Rooms
The Peninsular and Oriental Restaurants - Oriana’s main dining rooms – are at their best buzzing with conversation and laughter, accompanied by the tinkling of cutlery and clinking of glasses. So how do we plan to make sure these great social spaces continue to be every diner’s dream? We’ll be adding plush new carpets and chairs, refurbished waiter stations and elegant colour schemes to make your dining experience even more divine.

The Conservatory and The Beach House
Oriana’s refreshed Conservatory and The (new-look) Beach House will be given a facelift with upgraded tables, chairs, carpets and ambient lighting. We’re adding more small tables – (an intimate dinner for two, anyone?) – as well as new service counters and more seating overall.

Cabins (inc suites)
Now for the most important bit…the place where you lay your head. It’s your haven at the end of each amazing day and a welcoming cocoon to retreat to whenever you feel like some downtime. Expect soothing colour palettes, modern, elegant soft furnishings and furniture that’s new (or beautifully restored). Bathrooms will also be upgraded and balconies smartened up so you can drink in your sunsets in style.

Public spaces

Whichever corridor you stroll along, wherever you grab a coffee, read a book or sit back to relax and chat with friends, allow extra time to contemplate the new carpets, new lights, new colours, new furnishings.

Salon, Spa & Gym
Holidays with us are all about being pampered to your heart’s content. And nowhere on board Oriana is this truer than in her Salon and Spa. In the Spa, we’re updating the sauna, steam room and changing areas, with contemporary tiles, furniture and equipment. The relaxation areas will offer escape to a soothing natural retreat with a living plant wall. The Salon, too, will have enjoyed a facelift, with sumptuous treatment beds, wash basins and new pedicure station. And, if you want your indulgence to be guilt-free, head to the gym with its new layout and state-of-the-art equipment.

Lord’s Tavern
Already one of Oriana’s most popular bars; new carpet, bar stools, banquettes, chairs and tables can only mean Lord’s Tavern is about to become more popular still. Perfect for catching up on the latest sporting results or giving the grey matter a good work-out in a pub quiz.

Named after P&O founder Arthur Anderson, rest assured Anderson’s bar will retain its sense of understated luxury. Only now, it will be an even more ideal venue for a pre-dinner tipple or a relaxing nightcap, with stylishly elegant new bar stools, sofas, chairs, tables, lamps, carpets and rugs.

Riviera Bar

The Riviera Bar’s new and refreshed outdoor furniture will mean you can enjoy the social and scenic pleasures of this favourite watering hole for an alfresco tipple, in even more comfort.

Theatre Royal

New sound and lighting equipment, as well as reupholstered seating will ensure you experience the most royally entertaining space.
