An unspoilt village in the snow-sure Monterosa ski area, one of the largest ski areas in Italy. Without a doubt, Champoluc is the most popular resort in the hidden gem that is the Monterosa ski area in Italy. This is a haven for those who are looking to take their skiing and snowboarding off the beaten path in an authentic Italian setting. Like all of the villages in the area, Champoluc is filled with rustic charm and is beautiful to explore, especially as you follow the walkway alongside the river which flows all the way through the village. There’s a good range of shops, bars and patisseries to enjoy as well as the Monterosa spa located at the top end of town next to the woodland park, perfect if you need a day’s rest and fancy a bit of pampering.

You really could not ask for a better spot than that offered by the 3* Hotel de Champoluc. It’s set at the skiers’ end of the village centre, in a perfect, virtually ski-in/ski-out location at the foot of the home-run piste, and right next door to the main Crest gondola and ski-hire shop. It is also very convenient for the village centre shops, cafés and bars.

The hotel’s wood-panelling gives the lounge, bar and dining-room a lovely traditional and welcoming Alpine atmosphere - the ideal setting in which to relax after skiing over afternoon tea, and to enjoy the excellent Chalet Hotel cuisine. The en suite bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with Sky TV, many with extra beds available for families, and most have a balcony or terrace. There’s also a games room on the lower ground floor with a pool table.

The catered cuisine consists of continental buffet breakfast for 7 mornings with hot option provided on 6 mornings per week, Afternoon tea and coffee with cake & savoury treat on 6 days, 3 course evening set menu served 6 days, including pre-dinner glass of prosecco with a choice of complimentary wine & tea/coffee. Complimentary tea & coffee available throughout the day.

The Monterosa Wellness Centre is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon and guests staying at Hotel de Champoluc receive a discounted entry rate. Speak to the hotel reception team locally to make a booking. Discounted rate is €30 on a weekday and €40 on the weekend which allows you 4 hours to enjoy the facilities. Just remember to pack your swimwear as these, slippers and robes are not included in the cost.
