Many of our clients prefer to holiday over the Christmas period and here are my top tips, to ensure we secure the dream holiday just for you!
Tip 1: Make contact with your Personal Travel Agent as early as possible with your preferred destination and hotel, holiday dates and the details of the guests travelling, including full names and dates of birth.
Tip 2: Scheduled Economy, Premium and Business Class flights for the Christmas Holiday season become available from 350 days before departure, although we also have guaranteed allocation with a number of airlines prior to this. The demand for the flight seats is very high, and everyone usually needs to return back to work or school around the same time, so it is these return flights that are particulary prized.
Tip 3: Once we have your dates and have held your flights, we will then create a full costing for your holiday, we use a wide range of operators, suppliers and airlines, and over my 30 year career, I have built some extremly good connections with many properties to ensure our guest receive the best rooms available, at a competitive price. If you are travelling with a family, we can guarantee interconnecting rooms at many hotel, but these are the first rooms to go, so best to book early please.
Tip 4: When we have found the perfect holiday, and you would like to book, we will ask you for a deposit, and this may range from a small deposit, to around 20% of the holiday total, depending on the package. The balance payment is due around 14 weeks prior to departure, and we will confirm the exact dates. With Christmas holidays it is very important that the balance is paid on time, to ensure, we get the payments to the airline & hotels, to confirm your commitment.
Tip 5: Please make sure you have adequate travel insurance, we can offer our own carefully selected policy, and happy to provide you with details. It's important to ensure you advise us if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, so we can ensure you have the correct cover. If you have your own insurance, please make sure that the policy covers the type of holiday you are taking, including destination limits or winter sports.
Tip 6: Once your holiday is booked, sit back and relax, let us take care of all the behind the scenes work, incluidng arranging special requests, diet and special meals, aircraft seating and much more. We can also provide and book a selection of excursions, and day trips whilst you are away.
Tip 7: Once the balance is paid, we will then offer you a selection of options for getting to the airport, including meet & greet parking, chauffeur service, along with executive lounge reservations at the airports if required.
Tip 8: Time to double check those passport are in date, and you have applied for any visa if required. We have a full visa service, so we can assist fully with these arrangements.
Tip 9: Order your currency, and advise your bank & credit card company you are travelling.
Tip 10: The final countdown, you will receive your holiday documentation around 10 to 14 days before departure, and we will contact you, 5 days before to have a final run through, and check you have everything you need to get you on your way. Whilst your away, we are here at the end of the line, should you need any assistance.
